This week, Tech United's MSL team defends their world title in their home city. In addition, the @Home team is fighting to become world champions for the third time. Yesterday, the first set-up day took place, with all teams taking their places at the venue. Today, during the second set-up day, there has already been plenty of testing and practice. The @Home team successfully practiced putting away groceries. Tonight, the MSL team presented the technical challenge, which was about a new set-point generator. This allows better planning of the route to be taken, reducing the need to brake near an opponent. This new technique also takes into account moving opponents. The results of this technical challenge will be announced tomorrow.

The TURTLEs also played a practice match against teammates tonight. This has given the team self-confidence for tomorrow's matches, but it has also revealed points of interest that need tinkering before tomorrow. A total of seven teams are competing in the MSL competition. Three teams are from Eindhoven: Falcons powered by ASML, VDL and Tech United. In addition, the French Robot Club Toulon and the Portuguese LAR@MSL are participating again. There are also two new teams this year: Japan's Hibikino-Musashi and China's Big HerX.
At @Home, the competition is slightly bigger with Hero taking on eight other teams. Here, the robot inspection will take place tomorrow, checking whether the robots are safe. There will also be a poster presentation to show what the team has been working on over the past year.

Three practice matches are scheduled for MSL tomorrow. Furthermore, the scientific challenge will be presented tomorrow night. This will be about the next step in robot football with legs: a dribbling mini-cheetah.
